Nice place great food a little pricey but worth it

This place is pretty good nestled in a shopping center but Ambiance is amazing food is amazing servers are amazing even with the whole covid-19 going on they still manage to be top-notch highly recommend this place even with all San Antonio's competition I would say this is least top 5 and city of San Antonio

I have missed legitimate mexican food for a while now. Best on a very long time. Great food, cold beer and tequila. Who can go wro g. If you're in San Antonio stop in you will not be disappointed.

Seems as if the food might be delicious according to the number of stars they received . However, I will never know. My friend and I were Promptly seated but after over 10 minutes of waiting for our Server we left. I could understand if they were busy but they weren’t.

I ordered the Platillo Mexicano my favorite was the chile relleno en nogada and Churros for dessert and everything was good.

Very nice restaurant. dogs are welcomed on the patio and the staff member turned the heater immediately after we were sedated. Will come back!

I have been coming to this restaurant for 8 years now. I absolutely love the family vibe you immediately feel when you walk in! Apart from the beautiful atmosphere and amazing service I now know that the staff are honest and admirable. I left my wallet last night with $100 in mixed change, zipper broken so you could easily see the money. I came back this morning almost in a panic and was handed my wallet with not one cent missing. Thank you all!!

Been here twice, hoped the first time was a fluke. Service is the worst I’ve ever had. Had to go find a waiter after waiting for nearly 20 minutes with no service, not even a drink order taken. Second time tried to get a to go order, waited 20 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready watching everyone who came in after me receive their order and leave before me. Food was alright, I’ve had better at plenty of other places.

Great drinks great food and our waiter was awesome

One of my favorite places in all San Antonio for Mexican food. Parking is difficult, and on a hot day, the outside seating can be tough (not much inside). Always crowded so arrive early.

Excellent food(beef parilliada).5 stars if not for the service. It appeared that some of the staff was missing which may be a temporary thing. Margaritas above average. Chips and salsa over the top.

No complaints about this place. Food is just excellent as well as the drinks and atmosphere. Just a great place to have a great meal or some drinks to relax. Top notch staff. It's always been a great place to visit.

First time to have dinner at this restaurant. Had been to the NW Military location for lunch before. This has been my neighbor's go-to Mexican restaurant for many, many years and we were there to celebrate her birthday.Kicked off the meal with margarita on the rocks! I tried the shrimp enchilada with cilantro cream sauce. Lots of shrimp in the 1 enchilada that it was very filling, eating it with the plantains. My husband had a different shrimp dish (Cameron al aljillo) and I think they were maybe prawns because of the size. My neighbor started off with the hongos flameados (mushroom with lots of cheese) and had the Chile relleno for her entree. Her friend had the nopalitos as an appetizer and the shrimp nachos for her meal. Everyone enjoyed the food.The pace of when the food came out was more leisurely which was fine since we were busy talking. We sat on the patio in the unusually cooler evening.

Very good experience and nice atmosphere. It was busy when we went but we were seated immediately. They had chips, salsa, and 2 margaritas on our table less than 5 minutes after we arrived. Timing of drinks, appetizer, and entrees was perfect. Excellent food!

Omg !!!! Freaking amazing!! Their signature drink is called a chispa and you have to try it of you are there. The food is delicious and Jose the server is the best! So glad I discovered this place!!

Wow! This place was delicious!! Great patio environment and great service! Definitely order tacos, spicy salsa, and the baroccho beans! We’re not from around here and this is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have tried! Oh and don’t forget the house margarita!! Fantastic!

Great food, Amazing service and a very happy family restaurant.

Cruising around looking for somewhere to have some margaritas and we came across El Marisol. First the margaritas were great and not watered down. Out meal was fajitas and they were excellent. Nice place and they also have outside seating which is well protected from that Texas sun. UFO Buster Radio approved 👍👽👌

Food was good, but incompleteAsk the server about it and he said because of the pandemic we have limited stuff ok understandable The issue was when I got there, they told me to go to my car. But I kept seeing people walk in. I go back and ask and they told me they cannot help me and they would send a server to my car He took my order but people still were going in. I ask go back a third time to ask if I could seat and again I am told to go to my car. I go around and the server is all frustrated because I want to eat there, takes my incomplete food to the table they sat me in and forgets about me on the bright side the other 3 waiters helped me with my drink and chips, no good bye no thanks for coming no good service

There is one major reason we love this place. Their margaritas are good and very strong. We have been here id say about 20 times and this is our go to if you want to feel better than when you arrived lol. Their chips and salsa is really good as well. We have never tried their calamari so we tried something different this time. The sauce was good but we wish the calamari was crispier. Usually though we love all the food we have tried and eaten here. So really no complaints at all. Staff has always been friendly. Clean place. Outside eating with a nice waterfall in the corner. Give them a try. And a margarita of course! Look around and see if you can find a table where there is not at least 1!

Been going here with my family for decades. Best food there is in San Antonio. Every time I’m back home visiting, I always stop at El Mirasol! Great family runs the place too. The staff is amazingly friendly as well.

We have lived in Texas for 11 months and have struggled finding a Mexican restaurant that is the quality we are accustomed to. The service here is fantastic, and the food is GREAT! The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is because the margaritas were a little sweet for our preference. But otherwise a phenomenal establishment.

Great Food Loaded Drinks!

For margarita drinkers .their margaritas are overpriced at 11.50. With cheap tequila.never go there for a special occasion.

Very good food. The legendary salsa needs to have chile in it. Don't get me wrong - it's very good; but without chile it's nothing more than a charred tomato dipping sauce. Also, the rice was a bit off this visit (dry). Otherwise, a very enjoyable meal.

There is no reason to refuse here, delicious food, friendly service, I will recommend all my friends to come here.

My family was visiting and since this place had great reviews, i decided to take them there. The drinks tasted good and was probably he only good thing we had that day. I got the chicken tortilla soup because I wasn’t too hungry, but it was not good. It was too thick and tasted very bitter. I actually did not finish it. My dad and sister had the tortilla soup as well and left it uneaten too. My husband had something with guacamole, which I tried, and even that tasted a little off. I usually love guacamole, so I’m not sure what was wrong. Nobody else liked the food and blamed me for choosing such a bad place for them to try while visiting San Antonio. We had to wait a little bit for the food and drinks, but overall service was ok. Really wanted to like this place and disappointed it wasn’t what everyone said it was.

Great food everytime, I feel like the service lacks a little, servers change throughout the meal which is weird. They need a little better consistancy taking care of you during the meal. Drinks are great and food is awesome!

Great atmosphere and food! The Chispas margarita is delicious, perfect balance of refreshing and sweet & sour. The Enchiladas Mexicana is simple, but tasty. The churros are delicious too, perfect balance of crisp and chew with prominent caramel and vanilla.

Simply the best in town! Always, always always consistently the same great food! Our favorite place in town by far. If you remember La Fogata from the 80's (yeah I'm old) when they were the best thing and you had to wait 2 hours for a table...well the Cavillo family has done it again. The salsa is hands down the best ever! The Queso Flameado is a must have. Everything on the menu is fresh and original. If you want San Antonio at it's best, you have to try El Mirasol.

Great local joint, The enchiladas and fajita steak tacos were delicious! Will return for sure!

I was very press with the quality of the food. They have a good selection of Margarita us and a great place just hang out with friends for lunch our dinner. The waiters here r very helpful And friendly.

Great food with excellent service. We have made several stops here while in San Antonio. Definitely will be back ! This place does not disappoint.

Food is very good, my favorite is the chicken mole enchiladas. The best thing there on the menu though are the chispas, on the rocks margaritas. 2 is plenty for me, 3 I'm on the floor!
